Noise Pop Guide To Food/Drinks | Yum Blog | San Francisco Food ...

San Francisco?s annual Noise Pop Festival is set to kick off its 20th year this week with tons of great music acts gracing the presence of venues across the city.? But with each venue, there is always the question: Where can I grab food and drinks around here?

Here?s a few helpful ideas for each venue, one eating establishment, one drinking spot and a late night option for after the show lets out.

The Independent, 628 Divisadero St .
EAT: Bar Crudo- great seafood and raw items on the menu.? A wonderful beer and wine list as well.
DRINK: Vinyl Wine Bar- features a long list of wines by the glass, local brews and bar bites like meat and cheese plates.
LATE NIGHT: Nopa- always a popular spot for restaurant industry folks, Nopa offers great food and drinks in a very cool atmosphere; open till 1 am.

Regency Ballroom, 1290 Sutter St./Great American Music Hall, 859 O?Farrell St.
EAT: O3 Bistro and Lounge- fairly new spot which focuses on Asian cuisine with a California twist. A plus is small plates, appetizers and great drinks for those looking for a small bite in the lounge area.
DRINK: Whiskey Thieves- whiskey and plenty of it at this bar, which is open late for before or after the show.
LATE NIGHT: Ler Ros Thai- great, authentic Thai food in Little Saigon; open till midnight.

Bottom of the Hill, 1233 17th St.
EAT: Chez Maman- simple neighborhood French restaurant in Potrero Hill with a friendly atmosphere and down-home food like burgers and crepes.
DRINK: Three Parkside- dive bar, live music, kitchen, plenty of Happy Hour specials. Sounds like a winner to me.
LATE NIGHT: Connecticut Yankee- part bar, part late night grub spot with live music to boot.

Bimbo?s 365 Club, 1025 Columbus Ave.
EAT: Albona Ristorante Istriano- great neighborhood Italian spot.
DRINK: La Trappe- for those who love beer, especially Belgian beer, this is the spot to hit. Tons of great ones on tap and by the bottle.
LATE NIGHT: King of Thai Noodle- located down by the wharf, this Thai spot is open till 12:30.

Cafe du Nord, 2170 Market St.
EAT: Canela- plenty of small plates and tapas at this Spanish-inspired bistro and bar.
DRINK: Churchill- tons of seasonal cocktails along with a nice beer and wine list make this a great spot to grab a drink early or late.
LATE NIGHT: El Castillito- great Mexican spot with tons to choose from when you need something to soak up all that alcohol (open till 11:30).

Rickshaw Stop,?155 Fell St.
EAT: Zuni Cafe- a San Francisco classic, ?nuff said.
DRINK: Two Sisters Bar and Books- cocktails, small plates, coffee and tea and part book club. This cozy new spot has a bit of something for everyone.
LATE NIGHT: Absinthe Brasserie and Bar- great drinks, great food, cool setting and open till midnight.

The Fillmore, 1805 Geary Blvd.
EAT: State Bird Provisions- right next door to the Fillmore, this small new space is already a hit with its unique menu of mostly small plates and ?cart service.?
DRINK: The Social Study- it?s a coffee bar and cafe by day that turns into a lounge and beer and wine bar at night.
LATE NIGHT: Sheba Piano Lounge- Ethiopian cuisine, live music, bar and lounge. Perfect way to end a fun night.

Enjoy Noise Pop and the food and drinks that go along with it!!
